Ahh this week was great!!
Jose´s doing super well!!! Man he´s been through a lot with
his ex-girlfriend and other things in his life. We brought him to an elder´s
baptism and it was legit!! Preparing for his own baptism on the 14th!! Super receptive
to the gospel and has incredible faith in Jesus Christ. Hoping to start
teaching his brother and mom too:)
Andres. He was a contact in Pueblo Joven, back when Hna.
Allred was in my area for the intercambio. It was such a goldmine area on that Saturday
morning!! He´s almost 18 and studying accounting. Came to church for the 1st
time yesterday and it went really well, 14 for his baptism too.
Luis. We watched the Restoration video with him, but he
still doesn´t think or have faith that Joseph Smith truly saw God and Jesus
Christ....and couldn´t come to church yesterday:( ughhhh he has a lot of
potential, but just having a hard time recognizing the spirit.
Maria Mendoza. Waiting on her parents to come to a decision
about her being able to be baptized or not...patience hna boody, patience. I´m
grateful that our recent convert, Eduardo is an awesome example to her!!
they´ll be great buds in primary together.
Speakin´of our younin´, Eduardo is writing and practicing
his testimony for next
sunday´s primary presentation. We helped him brainstorm and write
a draft. and he´s been practing it with us. so precious! for real. Eduardo´s
the greatest!! and his mom´s making an exception to come to church next week to
see it!! (normally she´s always at the store sunday mornings).
As I´ve mentioned, we´ve been teaching a lot of less-actives
and seeing the fruits of our labor. We went out delivering treats this week
with the Bishop and some of the ward council and it was successful, just need
to leave earlier in the evening so we can hit-up more.
Well yesterday morning was seriously INCREDIBLE!! we called
all of our investigators and less-actives to remind them about
church/coordinate to pick them up, but a lot of people didn´t answer and I
thought we were gonna walk in empty-handed. But we picked up Jose, then Andres,
then Brillit and her sister. Then on the way to the church, up ahead we saw
Eduardo with his grandmother and other members. And Indirah joined us too, in a
skirt that I gave her too:) man it was just beyond words amazing. the picture
doesn´t do it justice! haha we walked in the chapel with about 8 people
trailing behing and Brillit and her boyfriend Dasly got to talk with the
bishop. Rescuing souls and surely seeing the blessings from doing so!!!
Saturday
night, after we started our fast, we were gifted lots of sweets from an
investigator that was celebrating her 10th birthday. haha of course the night
that we can´t eat any of it is the night that everyone´s all generous:)
haha
This Wednesday we have a multi-zone and Elder Grow will be speaking
with us!! Super excited, we´re gonna be there from 7:30-9pm and we´ve been
told to be prepared to give a short talk about the plan of salvation too.
wahoooo!!
Thats something that I´ve been studying a lot about and it
simply fascinates me!! Its incredible that we lived with God before our time
here, in the earth. and that one day we´ll be able to return to His presence.
truly incredible.
I know that Jesus Christ is my Redeemer and Savior, that only
through Him and the Atonement I can be saved and forgiven for my sins. Its all
about love, love for the children of God, love for His father, and its through
love that we can come to know Him as our personal Savior. And its by love that
others can learn of their true identity as children of God.
Mission´s crazy hard over-all, but also the absolute most
incredible and rewarding time of my lifeeee!!! Truly, thank you so much for all
of your encouragement, thoughts, prayers, and kindness. Makin´me strong!! take
care and happy December!!
